MAYDAY

Frequently asked questions

  • How many players per game?

2 to 4 in multiplayer: one defuser and 1 to 3 experts. Solo mode is available for training.

  • Do I need an account?

No. Pick a nickname and play. Accounts will come later, with leaderboards and friends lists, and will remain optional.

  • Is the game free?

Yes, entirely. A short ad may appear between games to fund development; it never interrupts a game in progress.

  • Which devices does it work on?

Any recent browser: computer, tablet, smartphone. The game is also available on iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6811154420

  • Which languages are currently available?

French, English and Spanish. The language is detected automatically and can be changed in the game.

  • Do I need a microphone?

For multiplayer, yes: voice communication is the heart of the game, and it's built directly into MAYDAY, with no external app.

  • Is the manual provided?

Yes, it's displayed automatically on the experts' side at the start of the game. The defuser doesn't see it.

  • Are the bombs always the same?

No. Every game generates a unique bomb: randomly drawn modules, its own parameters (serial number, ports...). You'll never play the same one twice.

  • What happens if we make a mistake?

Every mistake on a module triggers a penalty. Too many mistakes, and the bomb explodes.

  • How do I invite my friends?

Create a game and share the lobby code. They join in one click.

  • Can I play with strangers?

Yes — if public games are available, you'll find them in the "Public games" section or by clicking "Quick match".

  • Is my data collected?

MAYDAY only stores what's strictly necessary to run games (nicknames, game state). The game uses cookies for language and your ad privacy choices.

  • I found a bug, how do I report it?

Write to us on the /contact page describing what happened: your report helps improve the game.

  • Are new modules coming?

Yes. The game is regularly enriched with new modules and new features.
